Chocolate with a purpose
Why "Made in Africa"
We don’t just fight poverty – we create fair opportunities and a prosperous future for Africa.
Better Infrastructure
Value creation in Africa is difficult due to underdeveloped infrastructure. But the more companies like fairafric exist, the more local service quality and infrastructure improve, attracting even more businesses in return.
Qualified Jobs
Working on small farms is closely linked to poverty. Working in manufacturing is not. Real change can only happen when people move away from small-scale farming.
Access to Healthcare
All fairafric production workers and their families have health insurance. This allows them to afford healthcare. Necessary treatments don't have to be postponed due to lack of money.
Education
Education costs money. While smallholder farmers often struggle to afford basic school fees, a qualified job makes it possible to support a child’s education all the way through to university.
Sustainability
Together with our partners, we support farmers in managing their farms more sustainably. At the same time, we continuously work on improving our own sustainability – our chocolate has been produced climate-neutral since the end of 2018.
Equality
At fairafric, we stand for equality in the workplace. Equal opportunities, flexible working hours, and women in leadership positions are a natural part of our culture.
